I have worked with families in private and within schools.
Families function as a unit and when a problem arises within this unit the whole family can struggle.
Sometimes the problem is clear, or at times it can be confusing as to why arguments are occurring.
My work as a psychodynamic counsellor allows me to sit with a family, facilitate the conversation and identify the patterns I see happening.
Family therapy involves all the members coming together for the sessions, a goal is agreed by the family and we aim to work towards it. Whilst doing this we will work through the problems that may block the resolution.
